I used to camp for the Sheffield UK conventions,but I was single then,me and a bunch of mates would travel up on our bikes,tents and suits all rolled up creased to hell,but we had some fun on the site playing football and cricket and getting told off for having music on too loud........it was only on 8 for goodness sake,could have gone all the way to 11!!!!

i got babtized at the age of 23. i was not a so called born in guy.

i started studying the bible at 20, and before that i never heard of the jw-religion.

so everything was pretty new for me.. to make a long story short: a month or so after baptizm, i felt probably lonley one evenig and got drunk right out of my brains.

There was a pub opposite the KH so a few used to go across after the meeting for a couple of pints. So JW's and boozing went hand in hand for us!!

Big Jim Buckingham was ace!!!!!! Peter Morgan was a good un, as was Mike Parsons,he was the first one to take a real interest in the kids plus he loved the goons and python. Worked in the ministry with him once and it was all goon and python quotes,even dared him to get one in on the door,which he did.........power to him!!

Anyone remember Rod Ketter???
